Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Congregation (“the Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including alumni, parents, school staff, and employers.

2. Eligibility

To use Congregation, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Have graduated from, attended, or be the parent of a student at a Catholic school, OR be an employer or organization seeking to connect with Catholic-educated candidates
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your profile
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

3. Community Standards

Congregation is a faith-based community rooted in Catholic values. All users are expected to conduct themselves with charity, respect, and integrity. You agree NOT to:

  • Post content that is obscene, hateful, harassing, or contrary to Catholic teaching
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or school affiliation
  • Use the platform to solicit money, run scams, or engage in fraudulent activity
  • Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Share another member's private information without their consent
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
  • Post content that demeans, attacks, or disrespects the Catholic faith

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Congregation. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Standards without notice.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that:

  • Violates these Terms of Service or our Community Standards
  • Provides false information about school affiliation or identity
  • Engages in harassment, abuse, or harmful behavior toward other members
  • Is reported by multiple members for inappropriate conduct

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@congregation.network.

6. School Portal & Advancement Use

Catholic schools that subscribe to our School Portal may access alumni profile information for legitimate advancement and fundraising purposes. By creating a profile on Congregation, you acknowledge that your school's advancement office may be able to view your profile and contact you regarding alumni relations, events, and giving opportunities.

7. Employer Use

Employers who post jobs on Congregation agree to use the platform solely for legitimate hiring purposes. Job postings must be for real positions and must not discriminate unlawfully. Congregation is not responsible for the accuracy of employer postings or the outcome of any hiring process.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Congregation is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the content posted by users or the conduct of any member.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Congregation and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damages resulting from user-generated content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform or via email. Continued use of Congregation after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lee County, Florida.
